What a cookie is

Essential. We store two small values on your device: one to remember that you have confirmed you are eighteen or over, and one to remember your response to this cookie notice. Without these the site would ask the same questions on every page and would not function as intended. These are set as soon as you make a choice and are kept for twelve months.
Optional analytics. Only if you press "Accept" on our cookie notice do we enable a light, first-party count of which pages have been read and from which country. We do not use this to identify individuals and we do not share it with third parties. If you press "Reject" these are not set at all; if you change your mind you can clear your browser storage for this site and answer the notice again.
Your choice
Our cookie notice appears once you have confirmed your age. "Accept" and "Reject" are of equal prominence and there is no pre-ticked box; the choice is genuinely yours. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser.
